Expedition 5 in ARC Raiders changes how players should think about stash value. If you have been collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints during regular raids, it may seem natural to assume that a valuable stash will directly unlock more Skill Points. That is no longer how the five primary Skill Points work in this Expedition.

For players used to earlier progression systems, ARC Raiders BluePrints and other valuable loot can still feel like the main route toward progression. In Expedition 5, however, the systems are separated. The current primary Skill Points are tied to a Damage Challenge, while Coins and stash value are mainly important for recovering Skill Points that were missed during previous Expeditions.

Complete the Damage Challenge First

The first thing players need to understand is that the catch-up system is locked until the season's Damage Challenge has been completed.

The challenge requires you to deal a designated amount of damage using weapons or gadgets against targets outside the practice range. Damage dealt in the practice range does not count, so players should work on this requirement through normal gameplay.

It is worth making progress on the challenge early. Spending several raids collecting valuable loot will not help with missed Skill Points if the catch-up mechanic has not been unlocked yet.

Once the Damage Challenge is finished, stash value becomes much more relevant to your Expedition planning.

Know the 300,000 Value Requirement

After unlocking the catch-up system, each missed Skill Point requires 300,000 Coins or Stash Value.

This gives returning players a straightforward target. If you missed one Skill Point, you need 300,000 in value. Missing several points means building toward a much larger total.

The system is useful because players do not have to repeat all of the original progression from previous Expeditions. Instead, they can use the resources they accumulate now to recover earlier missed milestones.

There is one important limitation, though. Your stash value does not go directly toward historical Skill Points the moment you leave.

Current Expedition Thresholds Come First

When you depart on an Expedition, your Coins and stash value are automatically applied to the current Expedition's secondary thresholds first.

Only the remaining value can then overflow toward missed Skill Points from previous Expeditions.

This means reaching 300,000 total value does not necessarily mean you will immediately recover one old Skill Point. If some of that value is needed for your current secondary progression, the amount available for catch-up will be lower.

Keeping this priority system in mind makes it much easier to plan your departures.

Manage Your Stash More Carefully

A full stash is not necessarily a valuable stash. Players should pay attention to the actual value of the items they are carrying.

Low-tier junk can often be converted into Coins when there is no reason to keep it. This frees up storage space while also turning unnecessary loot into a more flexible resource.

High-value items are different. Items with strong vendor prices may be worth holding when you are preparing for an Expedition departure because their valuation contributes to your overall stash value.

The goal is not to keep everything. Instead, try to maintain a stash that contains useful items and meaningful value.

Complete the Caravan Early

Completing the Caravan early can also make Expedition 5 easier to manage.

Finishing it sooner helps reveal your challenges and gives you more time to work through them. This is especially useful for the Damage Challenge because you can gradually complete the required damage during normal raids instead of rushing it at the end of the Expedition.

Early Caravan progress also makes your overall plan clearer. Once you know which objectives remain, you can decide whether a particular raid should focus on combat, gathering valuable loot, or building up Coins.

Prepare Before Every Departure

Before leaving on an Expedition, take a moment to check your current Coins and the value of the items in your stash.

If your current secondary thresholds are not finished, some of your value will be used there first. If those requirements are already covered, additional value can help you move closer to recovering missed Skill Points.

This makes each departure an opportunity to make steady progress rather than simply an endpoint for a successful raid.

A Better Way to Think About Expedition 5

Expedition 5 rewards players who separate current progression from historical catch-up. The Damage Challenge handles the primary Skill Points, while Coins and stash value provide the resources needed to recover missed points. For players planning their progression carefully, ARC Raiders Items can also be evaluated based on their value, usefulness, and contribution to the overall stash total.

Once you understand that distinction, stash management becomes much less confusing. Instead of simply collecting everything, you can make deliberate decisions about what to sell, what to keep, and when to leave with the highest practical value.
