Godspeed T-Shirt Fabric That Feels Different from Regular Cotton Tees

Own way too many plain cotton tees at this point, and honestly most of them feel identical. Same texture, same weight, same everything really, just different colors and prints stamped on top. Stopped paying attention to fabric quality a while back because it all started blurring together.Picked up a Godspeed shirt mostly for the design, wasn't expecting the actual fabric to stand out at all. First time I touched it though, noticed something different immediately. Wanted to actually figure out what specifically felt off compared to my usual stuff instead of just vaguely noting it and moving on.

Had a different texture than my regular cotton shirts, slightly heavier, a bit more structured rather than that soft, almost flimsy feel a lot of cheap cotton tees have. Grabbed three or four of my regular tees and held them up against this one just holding them in my hands. Noticeable weight difference, this one clearly heavier. Washed it several times now over the past couple months. Checked the fabric each time after, curious if it would thin out or lose that denser feel the way cheap cotton sometimes does. Still feels the same as when I first got it. No thinning, no that worn out papery texture some tees develop after enough washes.

Bought a shirt from a different brand around the same price point specifically to compare fabric side by side. Difference was obvious pretty fast. That one felt thinner, almost see through under bright light, while the Godspeed one stayed opaque and substantial the whole time.

Checking If It Wrinkles Differently

Noticed it wrinkles less than my usual cotton tees after being balled up in a drawer for a couple days. Pulled it out and most of the wrinkles fell out on their own within an hour or so of wearing it, whereas my regular tees usually need an actual iron to look presentable after sitting folded for a while.

What This Suggests About The Actual Blend

Checked the tag out of curiosity, and it's not pure cotton, has some percentage of a different fiber blended in. Explains some of what I'm feeling probably, since pure cotton alone usually doesn't behave quite this way in terms of weight and wrinkle resistance combined.
